Austin Ekeler Serves In Complementary Backfield Role For Washington

Washington Commanders running back Austin Ekeler will continue to operate in a complementary backfield role alongside Jeremy McNichols following the placement of starting running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt on injured reserve with a groin injury. While teammate Rachaad White is expected to handle primary rushing duties, Ekeler remains a vital weapon out of the backfield for the Commanders' offense.
