Tanner Gordon Reflects on 2026 Season and Role Adjustments

Colorado Rockies pitcher Tanner Gordon appeared in 24 games in 2026, finishing with a 1-6 record, 6.68 ERA, and 1.66 WHIP across 103.2 innings for a -0.2 rWAR. Despite making adjustments to reduce four-seam usage and improve his curveball, slider, and chase rate, Gordon struggled with consistency, hard contact, and a difficult September. He posted a 7.97 ERA as a starter compared to a 5.21 ERA in relief as he enters his age-29 season.
