Koby Brea Waived by Phoenix Suns Ahead of 2026-27 NBA Season Opener

The Phoenix Suns have waived second-year guard Koby Brea, opening up a two-way roster spot before the regular season. Selected 41st overall in the 2025 NBA Draft out of Kentucky, Brea shot 43.3% from deep over 12 games last year but struggled during Summer League (28.6%) and the preseason (30%). The Suns prioritized roster flexibility, making the young sharpshooter expendable as they finalize their lineup preparations.
