Jacob Young Draws Trade Interest From Yankees After Strong 2026 Season

Washington Nationals center fielder Jacob Young is attracting long-standing trade interest from the New York Yankees this winter following an excellent 2026 campaign. Young batted .252 with a .708 OPS, a massive power surge of 10 home runs, and elite defense yielding +11 OAA and 2.3 WAR. With three years of team control remaining and strong defensive value, the Nationals face a decision on whether to trade him or rely on him as a high-floor insurance policy over younger prospect Dylan Crews.
