Justin Crawford Analyzed After Inconsistent Rookie Season With Phillies

Justin Crawford finished his 2026 rookie season with the Philadelphia Phillies posting a .264/.309/.353 slash line, 3 home runs, 41 RBIs, and 17 stolen bases across 465 plate appearances, good for an 80 wRC+ and 0.2 fWAR. While his raw athleticism and August outfield play stood out, he struggled offensively with a 57.5% groundball rate and a .089 ISO. Defensively, he ranked among the worst center fielders in baseball with -11 DRS and poor metrics, raising questions about his long-term position.
