Andrew Thomas Benched Following Concussion Evaluation in Loss

New York Giants left tackle Andrew Thomas was surprisingly kept on the bench during the fourth quarter of Sunday's 34-27 loss to the New Orleans Saints after clearing sideline concussion protocol. Thomas, who was playing through a groin injury, was pulled from the game by an independent spotter after getting up slowly. Despite clearing testing, coaching staff opted to keep rookie J.C. Davis at left tackle without offering Thomas an immediate explanation.
