J.J. McCarthy Replaces Benched Jameis Winston Against Saints

New York Giants quarterback J.J. McCarthy saw extended action in relief of a benched Jameis Winston during a 34-27 loss to the New Orleans Saints. Entering in the fourth quarter with his team trailing, McCarthy completed 11 of 21 passes for 243 yards, one touchdown, and one interception while rushing twice for 26 yards. Despite nearly orchestrating a dramatic comeback, his turnover and limited efficiency left his future role open to question.
