J.T. Realmuto Projected for More Rest As Phillies Weigh Backup Options

Philadelphia Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto will require more rest time this upcoming season, prompting the team to evaluate potential options to fill the backup catcher position. Realmuto previously drove in two runs with an eighth-inning single against the Atlanta Braves. The Phillies continue reviewing roster depth and potential free agent additions as they manage his workload for the demanding 2026 campaign.
