Yankees Eye Nationals Center Fielder Jacob Young as Potential Trade Target

The New York Yankees have previously shown interest in Washington Nationals center fielder Jacob Young as a potential trade target to fill their outfield needs. The 27-year-old, who is arbitration-eligible for the first time, posted a career-high 95 wRC+ in 2026. While not known primarily for his bat, Young provides elite defense in center field, boasting a +49 Outs Above Average that ranks second in MLB behind only Pete Crow-Armstrong.
