Alejandro Rosario Returns to Mound After 600-Day Injury Absence
Washington Nationals pitching prospect Alejandro Rosario is back throwing on the mound for the first time in over 600 days following Tommy John surgery recovery. Acquired from the Texas Rangers in the MacKenzie Gore trade, the 24-year-old right-hander previously posted a 2.24 ERA with 129 strikeouts over 88.1 innings in 2024 while touching 100 mph. Rosario is currently Rule 5 eligible for Washington this offseason.
