Mike Matheson Ruled Out Saturday with Lower-Body Injury

Montreal Canadiens defenseman Mike Matheson will not play in Saturday's matchup against the Buffalo Sabres due to a lower-body injury. This marks his third consecutive missed game. Matheson has recorded one assist, six penalty minutes, two hits, and 10 blocked shots across five appearances during the 2026-27 season and is expected to reclaim a top-four role once healthy.
