Baker Mayfield Expected to Return from Thumb Injury in Week 7

There is optimism that Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield will return for Week 7 against the Carolina Panthers after dislocating his right thumb in Week 3. Prior to the injury, Mayfield struggled through a tough start to the season, averaging 6.4 yards per attempt with two touchdowns and two interceptions. His return will provide a boost to Tampa Bay's receiving corps, including Emeka Egbuka and Chris Godwin, as he reclaims the starting job.
