Boston Red Sox outfielder Wilyer Abreu earned a Gold Glove nomination after leading all of Major League Baseball with 28 Defensive Runs Saved (DRS) in 2026. Despite recording just 2 Outs Above Average (OAA), Abreu finished five DRS ahead of Bryce Turang and seven clear of teammate Ceddanne Rafaela. Powered by his elite throwing arm in right field, Abreu is now in strong position to defend his previous Gold Glove title.
