Luis Arraez's Phillies Tenure Ends with Disappointing Performance, Unlikely to Return

Acquired at the 2026 trade deadline, Luis Arraez's tenure with the Phillies concluded with a disappointing performance, making his return as a free agent unlikely. Post-trade, he hit .278/.309/.369 with 2 HR and 21 RBI, a significant drop from his pre-trade .324 AVG with the Giants, resulting in a below-average 82 wRC+. His arrival also forced defensive reshuffling for other players. An injury sidelined him from the playoffs, marking a sour end to a season where he failed to meet offensive expectations.
