Ty Head Makes Strong First Impression After Joining Orioles Organization

Selected 46th overall out of NC State, Ty Head signed for $2.43 million and quickly showcased his disciplined plate approach and center field defense. After hitting .321 with two homers and eight steals in 15 games at Low-A Delmarva, he earned a September promotion to High-A Frederick, adding four more steals. Though he experienced an uptick in strikeouts across 82 pro plate appearances, his stellar athleticism and 20-20 upside mark him as a fast-moving outfield prospect.
