Levi Wells Recovers from Core Surgery Ahead of 2027 Outlook

Baltimore Orioles pitching prospect Levi Wells missed most of the 2026 season following core muscle surgery in May after initially being sidelined with hip discomfort. The 2023 fourth-round pick posted a 4.50 ERA with 36 strikeouts over 36 innings for Triple-A Norfolk prior to his injury. Featuring a 100 mph fastball, curveball, and slider, Wells projects as a high-upside bullpen option who could make his Baltimore debut during the 2027 season.
