Mike Matheson Deals With Injury Concern As Canadiens Recall Reinbacher

The Montreal Canadiens recalled top prospect defenseman David Reinbacher from the AHL's Laval Rocket amid an injury concern surrounding Mike Matheson. Matheson is reportedly out and has sought a second opinion regarding his injury, with head coach Martin St. Louis scheduled to provide an update. Reinbacher, the 2023 fifth-overall pick, steps up to the NHL roster after recording two assists, 14 penalty minutes, and a plus-3 rating across four games in Laval this season.
