Charlie McAvoy Scores in Season Debut Following Suspension

Charlie McAvoy scored in his season debut after serving a six-game suspension, helping the Boston Bruins defeat the San Jose Sharks 6-3. McAvoy missed the first six games as punishment for slashing Buffalo's Zach Benson in the playoffs. He made an immediate impact by getting in front of the crease and knocking in a pass from JJ Peterka late in the first period to give Boston a 2-1 lead as the Bruins won their third straight.
