Mackenzie Blackwood Turns Aside 24 Shots in Avalanche Win Over Stars

Mackenzie Blackwood turned aside 24 shots as the Colorado Avalanche held off a late push from the Dallas Stars to secure a 3-2 victory. Bouncing back from allowing five goals in his previous outing against Toronto, Blackwood delivered a stellar performance, including a spectacular glove save on Sam Steel in the second period. His steady play in the crease helped the short-handed Avalanche preserve a narrow lead and take Game 1 of the home-and-home series.
