Héctor Rodríguez Looks to Build on Rookie Season with Reds in 2026

After struggling initially following his August promotion, Héctor Rodríguez rebounded by batting .264 with six homers over his final 29 games. Manager Terry Francona and president Nick Krall praised his elite hands and bat speed but emphasized the need to quiet his feet and reduce chase rates. Rodríguez plans to train with Elly De Car Cruz this winter in the Dominican Republic to refine his defense and prepare to compete for a corner outfield job in Spring Training.
