Justin Kirkland Recalled by Wild to Replace Injured Sturm

The Minnesota Wild have recalled forward Justin Kirkland, 29, from the Iowa Wild to fill the roster spot left by the injured Nico Sturm. Kirkland has registered two assists in four AHL games with Iowa this season. Last year, he appeared in 20 NHL games with the Calgary Flames, recording one goal and one assist. He will now be an option for coach John Hynes alongside Tyler Pitlick.
