Cooper Black Recalled by Florida Panthers From AHL Charlotte

The Florida Panthers recalled goaltender Cooper Black from the AHL's Charlotte Checkers ahead of their matchup with the Blue Jackets. Black is expected to back up Akira Schmid following Jacob Markstrom's recent exit due to lower-body tightness. Black has posted a .906 save percentage in two games for Charlotte this season. The 25-year-old netminder signed a two-year, two-way deal in the off-season and has yet to make his NHL regular-season debut.
