Mike Matheson Out With Lower Body Injury

Mike Matheson has been ruled out against the Sabres due to a lower-body injury. The defenseman has struggled offensively this season with no goals and one assist in five games, despite averaging over 24 minutes of ice time. His absence means Owen Beck will enter the lineup. Matheson may also miss Wednesday's game against the Capitals due to the team's back-to-back schedule.
