Tyler Wells Saddled With Loss in Postseason Return During ALCS

Right-hander Tyler Wells took the loss in Game 1 of the ALCS as the Tampa Bay Rays fell 7-2 to the Cleveland Guardians. Making his first appearance in a month following a layoff due to forearm tightness, Wells entered a tied game in the eighth inning and surrendered a single and a double. Both baserunners scored after he left the mound, leaving him charged with two runs and the loss.
