San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Mike Evans missed a second consecutive practice on Friday as he copes with rib and Achilles issues. Head coach Kyle Shanahan described the new Achilles injury as soreness, but Evans' lack of full participation creates growing concern ahead of Monday night's game against the Washington Commanders. Evans was spotted working on the side and has one final opportunity to practice Saturday before game status designations.
Washington Commanders running back Rachaad White was limited in Friday's practice due to a shoulder injury, dropping from a full participant on Thursday. The listing appears to be workload maintenance for the shoulder issue that previously sidelined White in Week 4 against the Colts. White's health is critical to monitor ahead of Monday's game against the 49ers, especially with teammate Jacory Croskey-Merritt also nursing a groin injury.
Baltimore Ravens center Cam Jurgens has been officially ruled out for Sunday's Week 6 game against the Cleveland Browns due to a concussion. Acquired via trade from the Philadelphia Eagles last week, Jurgens was unable to clear the NFL's concussion protocol in time for kickoff. In his absence, rookie offensive lineman Vega Ioane will make another start at center for Baltimore.
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has been ruled out for Sunday's Week 6 matchup against the Cleveland Browns due to a left ankle injury. Head coach Jesse Minter stated the decision was in Jackson's best interest. Jackson suffered the injury in Week 4 against the Titans and has not practiced for two straight weeks. Backup Tyler 'Snoop' Huntley will start in his place after leading Baltimore to an overtime win over Atlanta in Week 5.
Washington Commanders wide receiver Stefon Diggs returned to a limited practice session on Friday as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury. Diggs previously missed Week 5's game against the New York Giants and sat out Thursday's practice before taking part in stretch and limited drills on Friday. Saturday's practice will be critical in determining whether Diggs can suit up for Monday night's contest against the San Francisco 49ers.
Washington Commanders running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt remained sidelined at practice on Friday due to an ongoing groin injury. Despite not practicing last week, Croskey-Merritt played in Week 5 against the Giants, logging a 36 percent snap share and producing 82 rushing yards and a touchdown on 11 carries. Saturday's practice will determine his availability for Monday night's matchup against the San Francisco 49ers.
Chicago Bears tight end Colston Loveland is poised for an increased role in Week 6 against the Atlanta Falcons as quarterback Caleb Williams returns from injury. After recording just 3 receiving yards in his first two games of the season, Loveland has accumulated 107 receiving yards over his past three contests (averaging 35.8 yards per game). The Bears hope Williams' return will trigger a breakout performance for the young tight end.
Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson enters Week 6 with a favorable matchup against a depleted Chicago Bears front seven. Chicago will be missing key defensive starters Montez Sweat, TJ Edwards, and Dayo Odeyingbo due to injury. With the Bears' run defense struggling and short-handed, Robinson is primed for a heavy workload and significant production on the ground during Sunday's contest in Atlanta.
Chicago Bears wide receiver Kalif Raymond enters Week 6 against the Atlanta Falcons looking to reignite his production with quarterback Caleb Williams set to return to the starting lineup. Raymond previously posted game totals of 90, 84, and 40 receiving yards while catching passes from Williams and Case Keenum this season, compared to just 5 catches for 12 total yards in two games with Tyson Bagent under center.
New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave is listed as questionable for Sunday's road game against the New York Giants due to an illness. Olave missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday before returning as a limited participant on Friday, putting him on track to potentially suit up. Through the first five weeks of the season, Olave has recorded 39 receptions for 537 yards and one touchdown, making his status vital to monitor prior to kickoff.
Buffalo Bills defensive lineman Ed Oliver is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's Week 6 contest against the Las Vegas Raiders due to a knee injury. Oliver returned to practice in a limited capacity on Friday after sitting out the team's Week 5 victory over the Los Angeles Rams. The Bills did not rule any player out for Sunday, but Oliver's availability will remain a key storyline leading up to kickoff.
Buffalo Bills wide receiver DJ Moore is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's Week 6 game against the Las Vegas Raiders due to an AC joint shoulder injury. After missing the Bills' Week 5 win over the Rams, Moore returned to practice in a limited capacity on Friday wearing a non-contact jersey. If Moore is ruled out, Keon Coleman, Khalil Shakir, and Skyler Bell are expected to handle the majority of wide receiver routes for Buffalo.
Dallas Cowboys cornerback Joey Porter Jr. is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers due to an ankle injury. After missing Week 5 with the flu, executive vice president Stephen Jones stated Porter is 'all-in' and expects to play a full-time role on defense as Dallas opts not to negotiate a contract extension this season.
